GREAT WHITE CAGE DIVING TOURS

Gansbaai town established itself as the Great White Shark capital of the world. These sharks have been protected since 1990 – and Gansbaai is the best place to see them.

Shark cage diving trips depart from Kleinbaai harbor near Gansbaai. About 11 km offshore from Kleinbaai you’ll find Dyer and Geyser Island. Geyser Island hosts a colony of more than 60 000 Cape Fur Seals. Dyer Island is a bird sanctuary with 29 different species of birds on the Island, and has a penguin colony of about 6000.

The Operators that we use are the best and complies with MCM and SAMSA regulations. Well experience crew will take good care of you and share their knowledge of working with the sharks through the years.

You do not need to be a qualified diver to enter the cage. Surface viewing opportunities are excellent, so non-divers are welcome to come along. Always keep in mind that we are dealing with the wild and can never guarantee sightings. Our trips are weather dependant.

CAGE DIVING TRIP: 7 days / 6 nights
Included:
6 nights accommodation
Dinner, bed and breakfast.
Transport from the Airport / guesthouse in Gansbaai.
3 days white shark cage diving
Breakfast, light lunch, soft drinks, mineral water, towels and diving equipment.
2 days is allowing for bad weather conditions
Return transport from guesthouse to airport.

Itinerary

Day 1: Transferred from hotel/Airport to accommodation in Gansbaai
Day 2: Shark dive
Collected at guesthouse for cage dive
After light breakfast, briefing about your day out at sea
Boat launches - trip out at sea between 4/5 hours
Transferred back to Guesthouse
Day 3: Relax at guesthouse
Day 4: Shark dive
Day 5: Relax at guesthouse
Day 6: Shark dive
Day 7: Return to Airport in Cape Town.
