BIG GAME FISHING
The Cape of Good Hope has earned a reputation for being the hotspot in the world for Big Game Deep Sea Fishing. Our waters are also blessed with the abundance of the Broadbill Swordfish, “the gladiator of the deep”. They are more easily caught at night.
South West of the Cape of Good Hope, we are known for Albacore (6 – 35kg), Yellowfin Tuna (20 – 107 kg), and Broadbill Swordfish (100 – 246kg). We also sport good catches of Dorado, Yellowtail and Atlantic Big Eye.
Trips are day trips whenever weather permits.
Departure: 06h00 (07h00 April / September)
Where: Simon’s Town, Town Pier
Minimum: 4 pax
Return: 17h00
Guests must bring their own lunch and drinks.
Tuna in our area rise about 10h00, some 5 to 25 miles SW of Cape Point. If they rise earlier, we also, may well advance our departure time.
The advantage of leaving from Simon’s Town lies in the fact that:
- We are closer to the fishing waters
- If the wind is too strong of Cape Point, we know in
advance … go or no.
